It's been a few years now.......where is he? I miss him. Even though he lied to me. Even though left me for aliens he didn't even know. I thought he was my friend. He said we were partners. What did he mean by "partners"? did he mean it like friends, or the way I want it to mean.....?

"I.....I want to go back."
"Why?"
"Because, I was dishonest to someone I care about, and I want to apologize......"
".....I guess so."
"Thank you."
Homesickness. Mixed with longing.

    There's a knock on the door. I don't bother getting my hopes up, just go and answer it. It's not what I expect to see. Zim, holding his robot's hand, no disguise on either of them.
"Hi, Dib. I came to make.....peace with you."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean....I don't want to conquer earth any more.....I found something that means much more to me than impressing the Tallest. So I want to be friends with you."
"Um......sure, I guess."
"Thanks. Come on, Gir, love, let's go."
Zim squeezes his robot's hand and leaves. I shut the door, confused. It's not long before someone else knocks. I open it again, annoyed.
"What do you wa-"
It's him.
"Mr.....Mr. Dwicky?"
"Dib?"
"Mr. Dwicky!"
I hug him before he can say anything, hug him tightly. I cry too.
"I........I missed you so much....."
Dwicky hugs me back, whispering to me, "I missed you too, kiddo."
I let go, and grab his hand, pull him into the house. I sit on the couch and hug him again. He wraps his arms around me. It feels good.
"I'm sorry. About everything."
"I forgive you."
    I pull his face down towards mine by his tie. Our lips meet. I don't expect him to start kissing me back, or pull me onto his lap. But he does. And I love it so. Nothing could have tasted better to me at that moment. I don't let him pull away. Or breathe. Just let him kiss me. Over and over again.
