Mordecai leaned against his rake and stared at his friend. Rigby continued to babble on about how they needed girlfriends; he didn't seem to notice how against the idea Mordecai really was. "Rigby."
"You could go out with Margaret, and I could ask out Eileen-"
"Rigby!"
"Or we could find some new girls to hang out with! Maybe we could-"
"Rigby!" Mordecai shouted, annoyed. Rigby cut off mid-sentence and glared at the taller boy. "What? What is so important that you had to interrupt me?"
"What if I don't want to go out with girls?"
Rigby was slightly surprised by this. "So, you want to be single for life? I guess that'd be more fun anyways-"
"No!" Mordecai said sharply. "I mean, what if we tried....going out with guys?"
Rigby looked startled for a moment, then burst into laughter. "That's a good one, Mordecai! Who we gonna ask out? High-five ghost? Pops? Benson?" He laughed even harder at the last one. Mordecai stared at him coldly. "You know what, Rigs? Just forget it. Forget I even said anything."
He threw his rake to the ground and walked away, his fists clenched. Rigby stared after him. "Mordecai! Wait! What did I do?!"
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Later that day, Rigby stormed into the room he shared with Mordecai, who was sitting on his bed playing video games. He didn't even look up. Rigby glared daggers at him. "What the heck, man!? You ditched me!"
"That I did," Mordecai said calmly, still not looking at him.
"I had to do all of your work for the day!"
"Good for you."
"You jerk! Why are you so mad at me all the sudden?!"
"Why?" Mordecai put the game remote down and glared at him. "Why wouldn't I be mad at you?"
"What did I do wrong!?" Rigby pulled at the ears on his hoodie, exasperated.
"I was being serious earlier, and you turned everything I said into a joke! I really do want to go out with a guy!"
Rigby stopped talking. "You meant that?"
"Yes, I did! I wasn't kidding!"
".....Oh. I'm sorry, bro."
"Sorry's not gonn cut it this time, man. You messed up bad."
"Alright," Rigby said slowly. "Then we'll try going out with guys."
Mordecai stared at him. "You mean it?"
"Yeah. We'll try it. Who do you want to go out with?"
Mordecai looked down and put his hands in his pockets. "Um.....you."
Rigby's jaw dropped and his eyes widened, but he didn't say anything. Mordecai couldn't look at him. Rigby blinked a few times. "Uh.....alright. We can go out....if you want...I owe you, so..."
Mordecai looked up at him, surprised. "You'll do it? You'll go out with me?"
"Yeah...why not?" Rigby smiled shyly. Mordecai grinned back at him, then stood up and pulled him into a hug. Rigby blushed and hugged him back.
"You're awesome, man, you're so awesome. I love you." Mordecai immanently wanted to take it back; too late, it was already out there. Rigby blushed even harder.
"I-I....I love you too."

It was early morning at the park. 6:50 am to be exact. Everyone was asleep. All of a sudden a furry popped out from a pile of clothes on a trampoline. To inform you, the furry's name was Rigby the Raccoon. Rigby got out of his bed and walked passed a bed with a puffed out imprint of his friend, Mordecai. As Rigby walked out of the silence of the bedroom, he made his way down the flight of stairs. He exited the stairs and into the kitchen for his morning cereal. It was now 7:00 am.
No obtuvo respuesta.
"¿Mordecai
? ¿Mordecai?" Repitió, con la misma suerte. Rigby se levantó de su asiento y se acercó a Mordecai, notando de inmediato su derrotado semblante. Con expresión de sorpresa, se atrevió a realizar otra pregunta. "¿Estás bien?"
