Karkat blinked once when they got to Gamzee's hive. Wow, it was so.....purple. He looked around curiously as he walked in, sniffing the air. It smelled like Faygo and soper, and.....He creased his eyebrows. And like another cat. Just then a grey cat sitting on the couch caught his attention, and he immediately moved to sit in front of her, conversing through a series of mews and clicks.
"Oh, that's Peaches." Gamzee said as he shrugged his coat off. Karkat merely glanced at him before continuing his conversation with the other feline. After a bit longer of talking, his attention once again wandered as his stomach let out a growl. He set off in search of the kitchen; in the process getting filthy foot prints all over the indigo carpet.
He quickly found and raised the refrigerator due to his sharp sense of smell and hunted around for something to eat. He discovered a pizza box on one of the shelves and opened it, then let out a pleasantly surprised mew. Pizza with anchovies! That was his favourite. He happily set about finishing off the last of the pizza, casting the box to the side.
Once finished, Karkat once again raided the fridge, looking for something to wash it down with. He grabbed the carton of milk off of another shelf, and content himself with drinking it right out of the container, his feet batting at the air slightly. Mmmmm! He hadn't had fresh milk in ages!
Once he'd drank more than enough, he wiped his mouth and whiskers and put it back in the fridge before setting off to explore. He padded back out into the living room and looked around. Hmm. In the corner of the room was a large pile of weird black things. He pulled one out of the pile and looked at it curiously, swiping at it with one clawed hand-before jumping up and letting out a terrified squeak and running to hide behind the couch. What was that thing?! It just screamed!
He took a moment to calm himself down before peeking around the couch. The object made no further noises. Karkat slowly crawled from his hiding place and swatted at it again-jumping a bit as it made a loud noise but not running away. After a few more swats, he confirmed the weird black thing only screamed when he hit it.
He looked at the pile before getting an idea. He took a few steps back and got into a crouch, his legs pressed against the floor, and then suddenly leaped into the pile. The objects(aka, Gamzee's horns) let out a chorus of crazy noises, which made Karkat let out a merrow of amusement.
At that moment Gamzee meandered in, wondering what all the noise was. He figured out what Karkat had been doing and laughed. "Silly kitty." Karkat got up from the horn pile and continued to examine the rest of the room, stopping by the window.
Dark indigo curtains hung from the rungs. He was tempted to sink his claws into the fabric and

them up, but resisted. That probably wouldn't settle right with Gamzee. He instead contented himself with curling up around the juggalo's feet, purring softly. His belly was full, the taste of milk was still in his mouth, he was warm and comfy. The sensation was new to him and he liked it. After a bit Gamzee reached down to scratch his ears, making him purr louder. Slowly his eyes fell half-lidded and then shut.
This felt like home.
I really loved it ^u^
